Mr. Overland’s architectural firm, established in 1980, focuses on commercial, religious and residential projects with over 40 projects a year managed concurrently. His large portfolio of the area's premier Banquet facilities and Restaurants are impressive.

His philosophy of “Creativity isn’t enough – communication between the architect, the clients, the consultants, and the builders is the key to good architecture” has served as a creative basis for his communicating architectural principles and values. Mr. Overland’s firm has the motto of “Good Design Doesn’t Just Happen”.

Leigh’s architectural team produces many culinary projects from interior and exterior face lifts minor and major renovations and new restaurants as well. The staff includes  Shilpa Policepatil, Architectural Designer and Project Manager is an Associate Member of the AIA, licensed Architect and Planner in India she manages both our residential and commercial projects. David Girton, Project Manager and Architectural Designer, with a BA in Architecture and over 25 years working in the field, heads our commercial and corporate projects. Kirsten Ursem, originally from the Netherlands, graduated from the Rhode Island School of Design and heads up the Interior Design Department. Jim Browning, a recent graduate of Roger Williams University manages our computer aided design, along with Malvyn Paulino who is currently attending the New York Institute of Technology. Programs include AutoCad, Revit and BIM. Christina Chiapel is the firm’s Executive Administrator and Account Manager. Kathryn Renzulli is the firm's administrator assistant and book keeper.  

Leigh Overland is a renowned Architect with many awards and accomplishments;

• Mr. Overland is the recipient of several awards, including the Westport Historic Preservation Trust for his own home and the B’nai Brith Youth Service Award.  
• He was the selected architect for ABC’s Extreme Makeover Home Edition.  
• He has led many civic and social organizations.  He donates to many non profit organizations, and has been published countless times.  
• Recent projects include A.G. Edwards Danbury Headquarters, Waterview & Riverview Banquet Facilities, A New Beginning Health Spa, St. Elizabeth’s Seton Church, the Duo Restaurant, Spa & Wellness and many new homes, additions and renovations.
